My Story
Experienced. Supportive. Accredited
From a young age I was taught the value of hard work and perseverance. I persisted in school and became the first in my family to go to university. I still remember my dad telling me that a college degree "...was my airline ticket to work anywhere in the world."
Flash forward over thirty-five years (where did that time go?) and I have gained extensive corporate experience from entry positions to senior management to board level. Not only that, but I have worked and lived in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. I guess I really used my "ticket".
But that was not enough. I wanted to use my experience to help the generation coming behind me; to pay-it-forward for all the wonderful people who helped me to be successful.
So, in 2006, I went back to university to get my teaching degrees. I graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees and started work at my alma mater as the director of a program helping students who came from a similar background to my own.
And now I have taken my experience and knowledge and created M-Squared Career Services. I want to help you gain opportunities like the ones I have been so fortunate to have experienced.
I hold undergraduate degrees in Business Studies and in Mathematics, and a master’s degree in the Science of Teaching Mathematics. I am also an accredited Mental Health First Aid provider through a national program from the National Council for Behavioral Health.
I am a member of the Professional Association of Resume Writers and Career Coaches (PARWCC), and the National Resume Writers Association (NRWA).
